Our Early Voting project has a lot of pillars and includes ways for everyone to get involved 🚀 This is a great way to show up to defend democracy and honor that radical 🇺🇸 idea that government is legitimate only insofar as it has the consent of those governed.
- Help at a Party at the Polls – hand out cookies, water, and "I Voted Already" buttons at early polling locations.
- Participate in a Banner Drop - we've written about those before
- Participate in a Vote To Restore sign waving
- Vote early yourself on Oct 6 and then wear your "I Voted Already" button proudly around town all month
- Socialize the project - write a Letter to the Editor and post on social media about the importance of voting early! Share our post on the subject or write your own!
- Join the Expanded Early Voting visibility rally at the Roundhouse on Oct 17, 10-12
- Join the Democratic Party of Santa Fe County to do phone banking or canvassing

State Constitution Amendments 📝

Indivisible National
G'mar Chatima Tova all! I wrote this on the plane back from the Indivisible statewide Texas summit yesterday. I couldn’t resist sharing my top-level read out: we’re going to win Texas.
The Indivisible movement in Texas has never been stronger. Indivisibles are building their first statewide structure to connect and collaborate across more than 60 Indivisible groups spread from El Paso to Austin to Fort Worth to Houston. At the summit, I met group leaders who are organizing against education cuts and weekly school closures (Bandera); against AI data centers (Lockhart); against Flock cameras (Dallas); against detention camps (El Paso); and against the roving ICE goon squads that have arrested more than 100,000 Texans since last year (everywhere).
Let’s give that last number some context. Trump’s secret police have arrested more people in Texas than in any other state, about double the next highest, Florida, where at least one Republican in a "safe" seat is frantically trying to distance herself from Trump’s immigration policy.
Yesterday, ICE shot yet another DoorDash driver, Wilber Rafael Garces Perez, a few miles from the Indivisible summit in Austin. Within minutes, Indivisible Austin sprang into action with a rapid response protest “against violence and for our neighbors.”
I see stubborn persistence behind the wave building in Texas. Yes, for James Talarico. But it’s also for the former Indivisible leader Jon Rosenthal, running against the deeply repugnant Bo French. And for Gina Hinojosa running against Greg Abbott. And for a slew of downballot races throughout the state, like the winnable GOP gerrymandered districts where Katy Padilla Stout (TX-23) and Johnny Garcia (TX-35) are running.
This wave is the product of Texas organizers who refused to give up. Eight years ago, as Indivisible was building towards its first big blue wave, I went down to Wimberley, Texas to knock doors for Beto O’Rourke with Erin Zwiener, an early Indivisible leader near my hometown. Carrying her newborn (she’d recently gone into labor at a family separation protest), she told me she was fed up with her Republican state rep and was running to replace him. I loved her campaign slogan: “Y’all means all.” Beto, heartbreakingly, lost. But Erin flipped her district blue, and then won reelection again and again and again. Last year she was part of the Texas Democrats crew that fled the state to raise the alarm about Trump’s gerrymandering madness. This year she was campaigning at events for Talarico not far from where we knocked doors eight years ago.
Y’all means all, y’all.

- Yesterday, ICE shot and injured Wilber Rafael Garces Perez, a 28-year-old DoorDash driver from Venezuela. Wilber is the third DoorDash driver known to have been shot by ICE, but the company has remained silent -- and complicit. Delete your DoorDash app and account until they take decisive action to protect their drivers from ICE. Instead of speaking out against the Trump regime’s deportation and death machine that has brutalized their workers, DoorDash is lobbying for the regime’s legislative priorities -- including a bill that would weaken DC home rule. If you’re in Texas, we encourage you to get synced up with Indivisibles and others in Austin demanding justice for Wilber and for their community. If you’re not, make sure to amplify their call for accountability, and call out DoorDash by deleting your account and app until the company speaks out against ICE’s brutality and violence.
- Find or host a No Kings event near you on October 17 and join millions in standing up against Trump’s threats to sabotage our elections. We need organized people power to win and protect the midterms. This No Kings Day, we’ll kick off the voting season with our communities and continue to build a nationwide movement ready to activate at the first inkling of election sabotage by the Trump regime. If you’ve already signed up for an event near you, take a moment to ask three friends to join you.

For our calls to action in both September and October, we’ll learn how to engage our friends in a strategic conversation about voting, encourage them to bring their own circles to the polls, and prepare our communities to help protect the vote after November 3, no matter the results.
- TONIGHT, Monday, September 21, make calls to Iowans to get out the vote for Josh Turek (IA-Sen), Christina Bohannan (IA-01), Lindsay James (IA-02), and Sarah Trone Garriott (IA-03) (6:30pm ET/5:30pm CT/3:30pm PT). Iowa’s current congressional delegation are all Republicans who have bent the knee to Trump while forgoing their constituents’ needs. We have a chance to flip one Senate seat and three House seats in Iowa this November, but we can’t do it without a wave of grassroots support. Paid for by Indivisible Action. Not authorized by any candidate or candidate committee.

Over the next six weeks, we’re training thousands of phone bank volunteers and putting our revolutionary canvassing tool in the hands of Indivisibles in all 40 target states and districts across the US. Good News for a Change
Last Tuesday, the Senate failed to advance the CLARITY Act, the spineless crypto “regulation” bill that would only further enable Trump’s crypto corruption and bribery schemes.
Trump profited $1.4 billion from crypto in 2025 alone. On top of his felonious crypto ties, the industry itself is pouring tens of millions of dollars into the midterms to attempt to elect crypto-friendly candidates they can count on to push legislation that would weaken oversight and leave consumers vulnerable.
After the House voted in support of the CLARITY Act last year, crypto special interests tried to buy their way to a legislative win in the Senate. Advocates across the US -- including thousands of Indivisibles -- toxified the bill so much that a vote was delayed month after month after month.
The crypto industry wanted the CLARITY Act to pass quietly with broad bipartisan backing. Thanks to formidable organizing and people power, you made that impossible -- and rebuked the Trump regime and the corporate actors lining his family’s pockets in the process.
Last week’s vote is a huge win, but there’s a good chance crypto-backed politicians will try to pass this once more in the lame duck period, so we’ve got to be ready to continue the fight.

Indivisibles On the GroundSpotlight of the Week: Indivisible Westside ColumbusIn June, the Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration to strip Temporary Protected Status (TPS) from Haitian migrants, creating chaos, confusion, and uncertainty for hundreds of thousands of Haitian TPS holders across the country. Former TPS holders have been barred from working or driving, making it extraordinarily risky for families to access basic day-to-day needs, groceries, or personal hygiene products. Amy Young, group leader of Indivisible Westside Columbus, organized a pop-up fundraiser to purchase feminine hygiene products for people who have been impacted by the end of TPS. Indivisible Westside Columbus raised more than $1,700 in just 24 hours. Here’s what Amy shared about the effort: “I began volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul in Springfield, originally helping them set up safety protocols and training in 1st, 4th, & 5th Amendment Rights as the community anticipated the removal of TPS for many Springfield residents (22% of the population of Springfield). After helping St. Vincent de Paul with safety, I saw an increased need for more volunteers and recruited many Indivisible Westside Columbus members to volunteer time and resources to support Springfield’s immigrant population and charities. In particular, the requests and needs for feminine hygiene products were very evident. Charities were not receiving these specific items as donations frequently and we would not be able to provide menstruating persons with proper care for their personal health, so this particular pop up fundraiser was done. We are now forming a community ‘Period Justice’ group to help find long term solutions and support for feminine hygiene products without overburdening the already strained charities. Period Justice will include helping meet the needs of detained and incarcerated people who need hygiene products.” Want to get involved in your own community? Find a local Indivisible group here. |
