You Voted. Now Shout! 🗣️
Let's turn out and support rural Indivisible groups statewide on November 7, from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM!
We don't know what will happen on November 3. People will want to gather - either to celebrate and demand that electoral results be upheld, or to demand an end to interference. In either case, a rapid response is needed.
For that reason, a group of Indivisible chapters across the state is planning coordinated gatherings in front of federal buildings on November 7, 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM. At those gatherings, at noon, New Mexicans will make noise for democracy.
Please join us! Bring signs and noisemakers (pots and pans, horns, bells, kazoos, and bullhorns) to the federal courthouse at 106 S Federal Place. We're also asking nearby churches to ring their bells for democracy.
Pass the Federal Film Tax Incentive 🎥
Lots of recent movies and TV series have been made, in part or whole, in New Mexico - everything from Marvel movies to Dark Winds. Many of the artists and craftspeople who help create those shows live and work in New Mexico.
But film and television work is declining, both in New Mexico and nationwide. Other countries are offering incentives that the U.S. doesn't match.
The bipartisan Motion Picture Television and Entertainment Revitalization Act (MPTERA) would help by establishing a 20% base tax credit on labor costs for qualifying film, television, and visual effects projects produced in this country. In some cases the total tax credit could be as high as 30%.
Use this link to send a letter to your Congressional delegation urging them to support MPTERA.

Help Gaza
Palestine Solidarity Santa Fe is asking for donations to two efforts by the Among the Rubble Collective.
Their mutual aid campaign, “Do something GOOD today!” distributes hot food, water, shoes, blankets, and more, with 100% of donations going directly to Palestinian families. Their Gaza City Evacuation Fund is raising money to evacuate one family from Gaza.
Among the Rubble Collective is a mutual aid organization led by an Albuquerque-based Palestinian-American and supported by volunteers in the US, Canada, Jordan, and Gaza. They've been fundraising for those in besieged Gaza since January 2024.
Speaker Series: Kyle Tisdel
Kyle Tisdel has worked at the Western Environmental Law Center since 2011, serving as a senior attorney and the Climate & Energy Program director. He'll speak at ISF's November 9 meeting about the work his organization is doing on behalf of our public lands.

Regular protests & events
