On Friday evening April 24th Santa Fe Rapid Response (SaFeRR) met for an important training at Santa Fe Community College. We had a lively training with role plays, lots of Q&A, and new information regarding confirmer techniques.
For the past year, leaders from the local immigrant community and allies have met to research, organize and coordinate local rapid response to ICE. I am happy to announce the Santa Fe ICE Hotline ☎️ 505-644-0101 is now live!
Bilingual volunteer dispatchers are now standing by 7 days a week, 7 am - 3 pm to respond to any potential ICE sightings. Trained confirmers will respond as they are able. More confirmers will be vetted, trained and onboarded in the weeks to come. If you have any interest in either the dispatch or confirmer role, please reach out to Melinda Hall on Element
