Well, I have to say it was the best banner drop I have had so far, because the weather was perfect. It was actually warm and sunny! The day was awesome. We had a full crew. I think everyone enjoyed themselves. Our two messages: No Vote=No Voice and Stop the Iran War got lots of response.
Of course, at the end when we were standing in the parking area, having the two sheriff's vehicles arrive, topped it off. HA!
The Sheriff officer asked what we were doing. I explained we had just finished a banner drop and told him the messages. He seemed okay. Then, he said in a serious tone, there was a complaint filed that we had thrown a water bottle down that hit a vehicle. I was shocked and of course said no, we didn't even have water bottles out on the overpass. Then I said, look around, we are a bunch of old people, we don't do things like that! He chuckled and said, I guess it's all okay, I'll put in the report that it was a false alarm.
I was thinking to myself, as he drove away... Yes.... we must have really “reached” a frustrated Trump supporter who wanted to get back at us!.
The banner drops coming up through June 1st will be dedicated to VOTING. This is the time we need to get that important message out to encourage everyone to vote. It would be great if you could help and join the drops. Spread the word, so we can fill all of of these dates. We will need lots of folks to step up and join.
