Indivisible Santa Fe is honored to announce this exciting event and co-sponsorship with Santa Fe Faith Coalition.
Last year, the Faith Coalition raised an impressive $82k to support immigrant families in our community. At a time when our friends and neighbors face targeted attacks on our fundamental rights and freedoms, non-profits in the City can step forward with support thanks in large part to Santa Fe Faith Coalition.
Just this past Sunday morning, a husband and wife living in Santa Fe for several decades were arrested by masked ICE agents. They have three children aged 29, 11 and 9. The wife was deported, and her husband was detained in prison. Several organizations were immediately involved in helping the children, including the Faith Coalition, that is paying the family’s rent. The 29-year-old has now assumed the role of parenting the younger children.
Indivisible Santa Fe has as one of its main priority’s immigrant rights and concerns. Our members attend the City of Santa Fe Immigrant Committee monthly meetings, support SaFeRR (ICE Watch and Rapid Response) and attended the SOMOS March and May Day clean up and picnic last May. In September we are delighted to have the opportunity to co-sponsor this fundraiser concert for the Santa Fe Faith Coalition.
