Hello again!
It is the eve of No King's Day across the United States and beyond. Here in Santa Fe, events will begin at the Roundhouse at 10 am, with music starting at 9:30 am. We have some reminders for you about logistics and safety. See below for information on our recommended march route and for dealing with the heat tomorrow. Go here for general safety recommendations at public protests.
Marching wisely
No Kings events in Santa Fe include gathering at the Roundhouse and a sidewalk march with two planned routes. Both routes will return people to the Roundhouse for post-march events. The first activities at the Roundhouse are expected to begin at 10:00 am. At 10:45 am, people will have the option of joining one of the march routes. Indivisible Santa Fe recommends the "Roundhouse Route," map below. Others will be marching to the Plaza and back.
You can download this map in black and white and print it. Please consider making a couple of copies and handing them out to others at the Roundhouse. We want to get the word out!
Handling heat
Tomorrow's highs are forecast to be in the low to mid 90s, with a high UV index score.
- Wear sunscreen.
- Wear a hat and other sun-protective clothing.
- Bring plenty of water to drink.
- If you feel the heat is getting to you, rest and find some shade.
See you tomorrow at the Roundhouse!
We are excited about No Kings Day-Santa Fe. Come out and let it be known that you stand against dictators and autocrats and for constitutional democracy in New Mexico and the United States of America.
