A Tale of February 6

We were protesting on February 6th, with a small group on the corner of Zafarano and Rodeo. Suddenly the traffic stopped and we could hear police sirens.  Over 400 students come pouring down Rodeo Road toward us and it was thrilling to witness that sight. When they saw us, they came running to us with such enthusiasm, thanking us, giving high-fives until our hands were numb! It was a magical moment. Seeing the energy and determination of those young people lifted my spirits, filling my heart with joy and hope. This generation is finding their power...so, we as adults must embrace them, respect them and listen to them. It's a long road ahead. We need to support them, so they find their way and do a better job than we have done.
