Opens September 5th

The Story of Souleymane is a gripping and timely French drama that resonates powerfully with the immigrant experience in the U.S., especially in the age of ICE, detention, and deportation.

Souleymane is a young undocumented delivery worker in Paris, hustling nonstop under a borrowed identity. In just 48 hours, he’ll face an asylum interview that could decide whether he can stay or be forced to leave the country. As he races across the city meeting brutal delivery quotas, he also struggles to prepare for the interview that may determine his entire future.

Winner of three major awards at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, the film mirrors the reality faced by millions of our neighbors here in the U.S.: immigrants who work essential jobs while living in constant fear of arrest, deportation, and separation from their families.

As debates over borders and enforcement dominate headlines, The Story of Souleymane reminds us of the human cost behind the policies — and the dignity, resilience, and desperation of those caught in the system.

Essential viewing for anyone concerned with justice, immigration, and the human stakes behind today’s headlines.

Need something family friendly?

At the CCA: The American Southwest

Opens September 5th

The American Southwest is a stirring, family-friendly wildlife film that travels the length of the Colorado River, showcasing the iconic public lands, fragile ecosystems, and diverse wildlife that define our region. Narrated by Indigenous activist Quannah Chasinghorse and made in partnership with Natives Outdoors, the film uplifts Indigenous voices while confronting the political realities of water overuse, climate change, and the mismanagement of natural resources.

At a time when public lands, water rights, and environmental protections are under attack, The American Southwest is both a celebration of the landscapes we love and a call to action. For groups like Indivisible Santa Fe, it’s a powerful reminder that protecting our land, climate, and communities starts with raising our voices and demanding better policy.
