TAKE A REST! Take a breath, gather your strength. The Summer of Democracy is around the corner, launching in full force with the June 14 No Kings day protest. We are organizing for the biggest pro-democracy protest yet in Santa Fe; keep reading below to see how we're organizing and how you can help. But first: read some of our recent contributions:

❤️ In Loving Memory of Eleazar “Jr” Flores - Eleazar came to speak passionately to Indivisible Santa Fe back in April on behalf of Somos Unidos. He passed away in May after a devastating battle with systemic scleroderma. The gofundme formerly dedicated to his medical expenses now supports his family in the wake of his passing.

Heard around the Internet

🐦A little birdie told me that Indivisible Santa Fe has a new website. With more content and more organization, it gets better all the time!
🇺🇸 Norman Eisen reminds us, in a Memorial Day roundup:
Your job is not to finish the work—but neither are you, the child of free people, not to do your share.

And a little comic framing of the craziness can go a long way 😂

☮️ Gearing up for June 14's No Kings Day, there are a bunch of opportunities coming up to sharpen your peacekeeping and protest skills.
There is a Peacekeeping & De-escalation training happening in Santa Fe on June 7, 9-12. This training introduces principles and methods of working with interpersonal conflict in nonviolent protest settings. It takes an approach of constructive engagement in conflict that moves participants away from destructive dynamics and towards mutually satisfactory solutions. The trainer is a life-long nonviolence activist, mediator, and holds a master's degree in conflict resolution. To join, email peacekeepers@swcp.com to register and get details about the location in Santa Fe.
Rise for Freedom puts on a training exercise Thursdays 6-8PM. This week, May 29: Digital Hygiene Deeper Dive - staying safe on your devices.
There is also a Power in Action workshop on May 29 6-8PM at 1420 Cerrillos Rd, Santa Fe being put on by the Democratic Party of Santa Fe County. Step into activism with easy tools to raise your voice, find community, and take action for our democracy. Light meal provided. Sign up on mobilize.
The Resistance Lab hosted by Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D, WA) is having a session June 1, 12:00-2:00 MT. You can sign up on mobilize.
No Kings Protest
The next HUGE opportunity to protest autocracy

The June 14 No Kings protest is looking to be a blowout. Indivisible Santa Fe is officially participating, and it'll be an amazing fun time and a chance to boost our own membership! If you haven't already, read about how to help Scott's campaign here:

Do you know of a perfect spot for a poster advertising the upcoming “No Kings” protest on June 14th? The bulletin board at your grocery store? Your favorite gastropub? Your lefty barber shop? Maybe you know of five such places just calling out for a “No Kings” poster. Now you can take the initiative and make that happen. Download the official Santa Fe flyer, print it out at home or your local copy shop, and start posting away. Let’s make “No Kings” Santa Fe’s biggest protest yet!

How Trump is affecting New Mexico this week
Congresswoman Leger Fernández joined the good fight against the "Bad Billionaire's Budget" bill:

The New Mexico Department of Justice has joined a coalition of 22 states challenging the Trump Administration's order to freeze federal funds, and has filed a temporary restraining order seeking to immediately restore funding for critical services. The NMDOJ is gathering information about programs affected by the funding freeze. If your program has been impacted, let your voice be heard in this way by visiting https://nmdoj.gov/get-help/federal-disruptions/
